Naima Ait Aabd was born on November 2, 1979 in El Maader Tiznit, where she completed her primary education. She dreamed throughout her childhood of becoming a good scientific researcher. Afterwards she continued her secondary studies at Almassira Alkhadra high school in Tiznit, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in experimental sciences in 1998/1999. Then, she completed her university studies in two Moroccan universities. Firstly in 2000/2002, she prepared her CUES in biology and geology at the Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Zohr University of Agadir, then a Masters in technical sciences option “biotechnologies applied to plant improvement” at the Gueliz Faculty of Technical Sciences, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, in 2002/2004. Returning again to the Faculties of Sciences of Agadir, in 2005/2007 she prepared her Diploma of Applied Higher Studies in toxico chemistry of natural systems. Then in 2008/2013 a national doctorate, the thesis subject of which is entitled: Contribution of phenotypic and molecular markers for the analysis of the genetic variability of the argan tree. Selection for oil yield, at the laboratory of biotechnology and valorization of natural resources “LBVRN” at the Faculty of Sciences of Agadir where she carried out her research activities and supervision of students on scientific research on the argan tree.

Hanae EL MONFALOUTI holds a PhD in chemistry, specializing in “Therapeutic Chemistry and Phytochemistry”. Her thesis was prepared as part of the joint supervision between the Mohammed V Agdal University and the University of Reims Champagne Ardennes. Her subject is entitled “Contribution to the determination of the photoprotective and antioxidant properties of argan derivatives: chemical and physiological studies”.
Her research work mainly concerns the valorization of the argan tree in the cosmetic, nutritional and agri-food fields. Her research has allowed her to publish around ten scientific articles in international journals, and to participate in international conferences in Morocco and abroad.
She also contributed to the organization of several seminars and scientific events within the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat. In June 2012, she was president of the organizing committee of the International Days “Natural Substances and Sustainable Development”.
Since 2010, she has held the position of general secretary of the Association of Young Researchers. She is also a founding member of the Youth Club of the Moroccan Society of Therapeutic Chemistry.
