Natural capital of the argan grove, value & valorization
During the celebration of the fortieth anniversary of Earth Day, Morocco committed to establishing a system of integrated economic and environmental accounts allowing the formulation, monitoring and evaluation of environmental and economic policies focused on sustainable development and human well-being. Also, the Green Morocco plan, the driving force behind the country’s agricultural development, plans through its sixth foundation to support reforms linked to the protection of natural capital and the introduction of sustainable practices in resource management. The Argan Biosphere Reserve with its potential and its sectors has made it possible to create value by exploiting resources for the benefit of populations. But these results did not materialize without impacts on the state and sustainability of natural resources…
This scientific committee is made up of researchers and experts representing the main national and global research institutions working on the argan tree and argan grove. Its mission is to rule on the procedures for submitting communications, to validate the communications submitted by researchers and to give opinions on all scientific aspects of the Congress.
